Fatima Baterdouk (University of Toulouse - France) visited FELIX laboratory (Netherlands) with a COST NanoSpace STSM to explore the interaction between water and 1-hydroxypyrene in an astrophysical context, recording the IR spectrum of 1-hydroxypyrene tagged with water at 218 K
Dear members of our COST NanoSpace COST the University of Eastern Finland is advertising a position of Senior Researcher in Computational Microscopy. uef.varbi.com/en/what:job/jo… Also you can contact Professor Polina Kuzhir, tel. +358 29 445 3211, [email protected]
The WG3 co-leader Boutheina Kerkeni (Tunisia) participated in the “Astrochemistry in the JWST Era” workshop in Saint-Florent (France) thanks to COST NanoSpace ITC CG program. She shared new theoretical insights into sulfur-bearing molecule formation via CN/CCH + CH2S reactions
During this COST NanoSpace STSM at LIRA (France), Alexey Potapov (University of Jena, Germany) and the LIRA host team studied the formation of molecular hydrogen on the surface of analogues of carbonaceous cosmic dust at temperatures relevant to various astrophysical environments
Yesterday was the first session of our COST NanoSpace AI in Astrochemistry Training School. Mainly we cover some fundaments about Neural Networks (NN) and Machine Learning potentials (ML). In the afternoon the Hands-on-sessions was about NN applied to astronomical objects.
Second day of COST NanoSpace AI in Astrochemistry Training School was about Gaussian Regression and Machine Learning architecture. Hands-on-session focused in these subjects with concrete examples of Gaussian Regression exercises using Jupyter notebook interface.
In the third day of COST NanoSpace AI in Astrochemistry Training School we were able to get more insight in the design of ML potentials and Neural Networks. Especially, ML applied to real Interferometry observations, and also some time for our social dinner.
