Last night,I was privileged to attend the AVID induction ceremony at Pikesville Middle School. Congratulations to Mrs. Miller and staff for the continued success of this incredible program to make the good better and the better best in our children!Bravo,parents;you turned out.

Last week,BCPS, child advocates and good people, in general,lost a powerful voice,a good man,and friend. Roger Hayden reminded me that friends aren't forged by our differences but by what we have in common.I hear you talking to me, Kiddo!..."It's about the children."

BCPS has some good schools and good children. There're schools that need more help than others. Let's tackle that on all fronts...honestly and equitably.We teach, fairly discipline, and find resources to support our efforts.This is my responsibility as a Board member! BCPS!!

Pat McCusker and Team Franklin HS... awesome! I walked 11 miles just to get in,but it was worth the miles walked. Look at these pics and know that there is a lot of joy mixed with the hard work going on there.Look at this seasoned teacher and the young teacher...music to my ears!

CedarmereElementary...tucked away, quiet, and expecting excellence...together! What a nice visit, starting with Officer Bridges, then thestudents...reading,math, study space, TV studio... ending with Ms. Matthews and Ms. Bull! BRAVO,Cedarmere!

American Ed. Week...Dr. Williams,Ms. C. Byers,and I visited Franklin Middle School.It was good seeing parents there.We then went to Reisterstown El. with more parents enjoying their children in class.Dr. Williams is a rock star...he was asked for his autograph.

This past week was AEW, and it was busy. Dr. Williams, Ms. Byers and I went to Franklin Middle and Reisterstown El. on Tuesday. Then on Wednesday, we gathered, again, with the County Executive at Milbrook El. Later, I went solo to Fort Garrison El. It was a great week. (Milbrook)

Children and teachers find the best places to learn, teach, and explore at Fort Garrison. We must make sure our children keep this excitement and the desire to know and explore. We each learn in different ways.

What a week. I almost forgot why I wanted to be on the Board... The children. Please look at my pics and know how good this System is. Children first...! Everything else is just noise!
