Some photos from the very productive and enjoyable Gas Kinetics Conference in Leeds. #GK2024 Poster presentation from @mixtlino on our atmospheric simulation chamber facility ( @scienceirel) and talk from John Wenger on piperitone chemistry (EPA Research News).

A new way to visualise #airpollution shows the global inequality in what we breathe but also the dramatic improvement that can come about when governments act. By me for The Guardian on the Air Quality Stripes by Jim McQuaid 🇺🇦 🇪🇺 & @KJPringle h/t Ed Hawkins theguardian.com/environment/ar…

📸Glimpses of RADICAL team at #CorkCleanAirDay2024! It was a blast sharing our innovations through fun activities and demos. Honored that the Lord Mayor of Cork was so interested in our work! 🙌 Thanks to Cork City Council & Cork City Libraries! 💚 #CleanAir #AirQuality #GasSensors

CRAC contribution to Clean Air Day Members of the Centre for Research into Atmospheric Chemistry (CRAC) contributed to Cork's (and Ireland's) second Clean Air Day. @craclabucc #realtimechem #cleanairday #cork @deanvenables Detect NO2 @BehaviAir

We deployed the Aerosol Chemical Speciation Monitor in Enniscorthy for EPA Ireland #TownAir. First-week data is already in! Together with filter analyses, our Mace Head-CCAPS team and CRAC will investigate aerosol composition, sources, and #AirQuality health impacts.

Great discussions in atmospheric chemistry at UCC yesterday. Fortunate to have Bryan over from Bristol Chemistry for RSC talk, Laurentiu & Cladiu from Romania for experiments, Neil from USA on sabbatical.

This is a great article on the benefits of low cost sensor networks for assessing and managing air pollution. Delighted that the Cork City network we helped set up with Cork City Council is used as a good example of mapping urban air quality.

Love this #CleanAIrNight (24 Jan) initiative from Cork City Council ! Great graphics & tips for reducing air pollution from solid fuel burning!
