Great to visit the Cancer Research UK shop in Ripon recently and meet the amazing volunteers supporting life-saving research. They are looking for more local volunteers β if you can spare a few hours, itβs a great way to make a difference. Thanks to Liz and the team for the warm welcome!


Cheering to visit Cancer Research UK near World's End Estate and meet dedicated staff. Lovely to see local people's generosity in donating great clothes and great finds. A major cause of cancer is obesity - we'll consider this in our new Health and Social Care Committee enquiry into food and health.


We were delighted to see Dr Scott Arthur MP (Edinburgh South West) πππΉ's Rare Cancers Bill pass third reading this afternoon in the House of Commons. This Bill is a crucial step forward for those living with rare and less common cancers, and we look forward to supporting it as it progresses through the



Thank you Uma Kumaran MP for supporting Race for Life Victoria Park today. Our amazing participants will have raised over Β£100,000 for the lifesaving research Cancer Research UK fund. They definitely earned those medals in the heat today!

Over Β£300,000 raised for Race for Life in Northampton! I was honoured to be asked to fire the starting horn and spend some time with the amazing team from Cancer Research UK.

π Thank you to Cancer Research UK #Wetherby for showing me the inner workings of their shop and introducing me to their incredible volunteers on Friday. Your donations and purchases contributed towards more than Β£28m in profit in 2023/24 for the charity to fund life-saving research.
