Ben Zendejas of Boston Children's started this morning at Association for Surgical Education #SEW2023 with a thorough look at external validity of a natural language processing algorithm using SIMPL data in a collaboration with Center for Surgical Training and Research, Andy Krumm, and more. Great work, Ben!


First of two back-to-back Michigan Surgery presentations at #SEW2023 Association for Surgical Education is Jamila Picart! Dr. Picart is showing of her work on which procedures can be used to determine early career-relevant high-complexity cases. Great work!


Next up is Rebecca Moreci, MD MS for her #SEW2023 Association for Surgical Education presentation looking at the differences between practice patterns of board-certified and non-board-certified surgeons. Great work! Michigan Surgery


Our greatest impact is by teaching and mentoring others who then go on to teach and mentor others. Iām grateful to be able to catch up with the first 4 Center for Surgical Training and Research surgical education research fellows, who are now teaching and mentoring others. #PayItForward
