Artist Sa'adiah Khan has been bringing colourful mandalas to patients and staff across our Cambridge University Hospitals NHS wards. 🎨 She invites everyone to think about 'words that have meaning to you' and incorporate them into their own unique design. We cannot wait to welcome Club Origami to Cambridge University Hospitals NHS paediatric wards next week! Club Origami is an immersive and interactive dance show inviting family audiences to create, imagine and explore whole new ways of thinking, playing and moving, in a land made purely of paper and play.

Today is #WorldAlzheimersDay2024. We are grateful to our partners Britten Sinfonia who brought music and warm conversations to our medicine for the elderly wards. They also joined the Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Dementia Care Team for a performance in our public concourse.


On #NationalPoetryDay we are sharing some extracts from 'Walking with', a series of four poems for the Rosie Hospital, written by @hanwalker. This commission was generously funded by the kind supporters of Addenbrooke's Charity.


For #BlackHistoryMonth Yvonne Hercules performed popular songs on our Cambridge University Hospitals NHS wards and at the Black History Month Event for staff. The day's highlights included patients singing along to Dreams by Fleetwood Mac and a member of staff dancing to Jolene by Dolly Parton! 💃


✨Club Origami✨We had a brilliant day bringing origami, dance, movement and paper play to our paediatric wards last week, led by dance artists Takeshi Matsumoto and Makiko Aoyama. Thank you both for bringing so much laughter, joy and energy to Cambridge University Hospitals NHS!


Inspired by 'movement in nature’, Lucy Gough created a beautiful installation that covers the whole building of the Cambridge Movement Surgical Hub Cambridge University Hospitals NHS.

We welcomed artist Sa'adiah Khan who ran a diya making workshop, as well as performances by Sanskruti Dance💃and Shem Jerrold Music in Hospitals & Care🎼
