Coaching Suggestion of the week: Find a way to implement teaching the rules into practice. An easy way is to introduce it incrementally with new skills. Don't overwhelm with too many at a time. Ie. Teachimg marking? Go over marking violations. Teaching cutting? Go over picks.

Coaching Sugg of the week: Teach what you don't run. Even if your team never plans on running vert stack, you should still spend practice time going over vert. At some point you will play a team that runs vert, and you don't want your defense to be unprepared. Same goes for zone.

Coach sugg week: Warm up a skills before you introduce a new drill. Don't spend the beginning of your breakmark warming up your throws. Do some throwing focused on stepping out wide/ pumping then pivoting. Make your players feel prepared for new things not thrown in the deep end.

Tip: Allow your players to own the team. At the end of the day you are there to serve the players. Players give coaches a level of trust, and it is up to the coaches not to abuse it. When a player is late or misses practice allow your captains to decide if their excuse is valid.

Coaching Tip of the Week: Don't put players in a box. Don't let players put themselves in a box. Develop well rounded players during the season. Ie. Make handlers cut and make cutters handle. As you get closer to the apex of your season is when you can assign roles to players.

Coaching Tip: Don't get stuck on strict O and D lines. Having O line chemistry is vital, but spend time at practice mixing it up. One of your biggest resources is your players, so allowing players to mix will bring up the overall talent of your team. Let your team help each other

Coach tip of the week: Coach hucking. Give your players the ability to critique their own hucks. If they find their hucks too floating -> probably leaning back too much. Flying to low -> leaning too far forward. Try to keep your chest straight while throwing. Dont bend your back.
