Prof. Mamdani rationalizes suicide bombings, much like Prof. Joseph Slaughter, director of Columbia University's Human Rights Institute, rationalized plane hijackings by the PFLP. Both Mamdani and Slaughter sit on Columbia's Senate. Columbia has a serious problem with extremist faculty.

🚨NEW: Columbia University has announced further efforts – which are necessary, but not sufficient – to combat antisemitism on campus. - Adopts IHRA definition of antisemitism. - Appoints Title VI and VII coordinators which will issue an annual report. - Developing antisemitism trainings

We remember when Columbia University knew how to welcome everyone without needing written definitions. Back when FACULTY led honest discourse across fields like history, philosophy, literature, pol. science, social work, and education. Adopting IHRA (which Columbia definitely needs) is a

🧵THREAD: What’s next for Columbia University’s deal with the government? There have been positive developments recently, but more reforms are necessary. The government has the leverage to make this happen — they should use it. We’ve broken down the issues into three categories, below. 1/

One day, dissertations will be written on how schools like Columbia University, Harvard University, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) lost their way: promoting activism over education, delegitimizing foundational American principles, and sanitizing antisemitism. The only question is: will the schools institute real reform

As a deal nears with Columbia University, we urge the government to review this footage, and remember that you're talking to the same people who looked away while all this was happened. Reforms MUST include: -Ban on masks at protests -Enforcement of time, place, manner rules -Discipline

It IS sad. Sad that 80+ students will pay a tough price. Sad that the radical Columbia University faculty who encouraged them continue to sit comfortably in tenured positions. Sad that thousands of qualified applicants were rejected, while these students squandered their shot. Students

Today, Columbia University finalized discipline for the May 2024 Alumni Weekend Encampment. Mahmoud Khalil participated in that encampment, including fighting with Public Safety officers and crawling into a tent that was being confiscated. Why didn't Columbia discipline him?

NO faculty or school is OWED Federal funds. Academic freedom is NOT a pass to exclude, bully, or harass students based on identity. It's NOT a pass to say stupid sh*t with no evidence, and get paid for it. American taxpayers have every right to refuse to fund this. columbiafsi

Fact check: This was not a “peaceful teach-in.” Protestors injured Public Safety officers, who repeatedly told protestors not to make contact with them, and destroyed property. Protestors outside the building tried to rush the entrance, injuring other protestors and press.

It's insane to me how Hamas can release cartoonishly evil videos of the type Joker would broadcast to Gotham, and literally nobody that isn't jewish on this app will talk about it

We are utterly heartbroken by the horrific video released of Evyatar David, who has been held hostage by Hamas in Gaza for 666 days. We must act before it is too late to save him. Enough is enough. Do not remain silent. Bring this suffering to an end and #BringThemHomeNow

Columbia alum Mahmoud Khalil just told @EzraKlein that Hamas "had to" commit Oct 7 in order to block peace with Saudi Arabia and stay “...relevant." His exact words: "we couldn't avoid such a moment." "We"? Who is we? Hamas? All Palestinians? CUAD alums with a taste for
