Authentic Assessment in Mr. Haley's US History class. Students selected a civil rights leader to research & created a resume. Then applied to be the teacher of a civil rights class at our HS. Then interviewed with me for the position. These kids were AWESOME!

Thankful to Mrs. Vera Bej for sharing with our students today. We learned about the history of Ukraine, Mrs. Bej’s experiences in the labor camps and being a refugee, and what is happening today in Ukraine. Admire her 30 years at CV and 58 years in education!

Our journey of a thousand miles began today. Thankful to our awesome department members who are ready for this journey. Can’t wait to see the amazing things we will do with our Eagle students moving forward.

These students & teachers exemplify school community. Friday the Civil Rights class held their first end of year picnic. One student brought food from his culture which was amazing. The music was awesome & students felt free to dance…or not. If only I could bottle this up ♥️

Earlier this week students participated in training for this year’s Veterans Oral History Program with USAHEC 37 students will pair up to collect oral histories of Veterans this year. #honorandremember #serviceandsacrifice
