Our first Creative Writing community workshop was fantastic - we had 11 people (not all wanted to be in the picture, which we absolutely respect), and we spent the day talking about plot, structure, characters, and more broadly, the magic of storytelling.

We are delighted to announce our former student Kate Arnold publishing her debut collection of poetry ❤️💪💪💪 “Kicking at Tombstones” is coming out on 3 Sept, published by Black Eyes Press. Congratulations, Kate!

Day 2 of the induction week and our Creative Writing students are going on a Treasure hunt around Cheltenham. Who will win and what treasures will they come back with?

A fantastic day today, doing the tour of the beautiful Everyman theatre in Cheltenham with our brand new Creative writing and English Lit students. The theatre team always go way above and beyond in how they treat us, huge thanks to everyone who looked after us today.

Our 2nd year student Giorgia Caso recently completed a work placement with The History Press, an independent non fiction publisher based in Cheltenham. Well done Giorgia, we are thrilled to hear you’ve enjoyed this first foray into the publishing industry!

Our colleague Dr Mike Johnstone will be reading from his latest novel Disnaeland, at the Post-Apocalyptic Book Club (Thurs 10 Oct, 6.45pm @The Swan) and at Gloucestershire Writers’ Network event at the Cheltenham Lit Fest (Sun 13 Oct at 7pm at the Queen’s Hotel) We can’t wait!
