I just got a response from a D2 coach to email about a HS kid I sent him that basically said "we don't look at high school players anymore". Take note. He's not the only one. What he ALSO said is that they recruit JUCO players heavily now.

5 years ago a kid like this (2x state champ, 6’7 athlete, elite shooter + defender) would have 10 HM offers. Today he has 1 D1 offer. Insane what the portal and various rule changes have done to HS recruiting. Not complaining, just commenting on the vastly different landscape.
