Looking at Red Meats - Miss Smiths Caldicot School Year 10 made a Lamb Rogan Josh Curry yesterday. The room smelt of delicious spices & it’s fair to say more than half the class who said they didn’t like the curry absolutely loved it! A range of skills demonstrated too! Caldicot School
I love it when students say they don’t want to try the mussels but after a few students do, they say go on then! Stepping out of your comfort zone Year 10s Caldicot School Year 10 Caldicot School fish.heroes FoodTeachersCentre Offshore Shellfish
Some fantastic work from the Year 9 GCSE Drama and BTEC Performimg Arts groups this morning for their TIE projects! I’m also really impressed with Year 10 & 11 & their progress this week. Very proud teacher 👩🏼🏫 Caldicot School Caldicot School Year 9 Caldicot School Year 11 Caldicot School Year 10 Caldicot Faculty of Arts
A energetic lesson today with Caldicot School Year 10 Today they had to manage 2 cooks side by side - chicken nuggets using alternative breadcrumbs (cornflakes & Doritos) and potato wedges with a seasoning of their choice. Our timings were tight but they smashed it! Caldicot School
Caldicot School Year 10 had so much fun today making a Jane’s Patisserie ❤️🍰 festive bake. These caramel gingerbread cookie bars were absolutely delicious. Great feedback from the students & the recipe was so adaptable. I think our students cleared the local Asda out of white chocolate chips!
Congratulations to Esme Caldicot School Year 10 and Charley Caldicot School Year 11 on your selection for the U16 NAG hockey squads. Thoroughly deserved 🏴 #teamcaldicot #hardworkpaysoff
Da iawn Caldicot School Year 10 Using skills from their duchess potato/chicken nugget practical lesson, students today made a batch of cheesy potato croquettes. Although a low/medium skill, lots of steps & stages & time keeping required. Students did so well! Caldicot School
Chicken🐔 bacon🥓 & leek pie🥧 Miss Smiths absolute favourite & a weekly staple in her house. Today was demonstration day for Miss Smith & on the menu for Year 10 next week is this gorgeous pie with homemade shortcrust pastry. Caldicot School Caldicot School Year 10
What’s your favourite pie filling? On the menu for Caldicot School Year 10 was a chicken, bacon and leek (or mushroom) pie! Yum yum!🐔 🥓 🍄 🥧 Students were challenged with making their own shortcrust pastry too in the double lesson. Miss Smith was very impressed Caldicot School
Examples of Year 10 working on some last minute revision before their mock examination tomorrow. Today, students worked in groups of 3 and were given 2 minutes to annotate a selection of extracts taken from ‘Of Mice Men’. Some fantastic collaboration👏🏼 Caldicot School Year 10 Caldicot English
Lovely to see so many at our first RS revision session tonight. So many we had to take to the school hall. Huge well done to all 76 pupils that attended! @MrsSLRowlands Miss Wakefield
Couldn’t be prouder of my Year 10 Performing Arts class today. They completed their Unit 2 BTEC exam and the progress they have made over the last 6 months is phenomenal. So proud of each and every one of them! 🌟🎭🎉 Caldicot School Caldicot Faculty of Arts Caldicot School Year 10
Some fantastic examples of 10X1 and 10Y2’s Lennie essays; this was their first attempt at an essay response! As a class, we will be analysing these WAGOLLs under the visualiser in order to identify WWW and EBIs. Excellent work Caldicot School Year 10 - keep it up!👏🏼 Caldicot English
Looking forward to welcoming back Year 10 and Year 11 students tomorrow morning. Myself and Mr Harman will be on the main door to greet you. New start, looking sharp! Caldicot School Year 10 #newterm#newgoals#freshstart
