Signs of success! Endangered Southern California steelhead trout rescued out of Palisades-Fire-ravaged Topanga Creek have spawned in their new habitat in the waters of Santa Barbara County’s Arroyo Hondo Creek. At least 100, 1-inch-long baby fish were observed in early April.

CDFW Law Enforcement, including the Honor Guard and Academy Cadets, gathered at the CA Peace Officers’ Memorial in Sacramento to honor four officers who made the ultimate sacrifice. Since 1977, this solemn event has remembered 1,600+ fallen heroes including 16 wildlife officers.
