Another amazing capture today was this Cormorant bringing up a Red Gurnard fish at the outflow of Crossness Nature Reserve today. Shows how clean the Thames is. RSPB RSPB England BBC Springwatch #londonbirds

Very happy that the song sparrow reappeared today, was very tricky whilst I was there most of the time but eventually showed well so can’t complain. Life ✅ 375 and Yorkshire ✅ 304 nice to see Georgie W-S too

Managed to see the Western sandpiper at Maidens this morning - I'd been in Ayrshire twice since November and not been to see it, while it had been misidentified as an overwintering little stint - now a must see and I think the 13th UK record BirdGuides BTO Ayrshire Birds.

An enjoyable start to the day with Arfon Williams opening the moth traps nr. Lampeter, Ceredigion. Slender Brindle was new for me amongst 100s of moths. This afternoon at Cors Caron NNR with Neil Donaghy saw families of Willow Tit, Spotted Fly + Whinchats. Hobby and 3 Otters too👍

Great to do some birding with David Callahan too. Good to see that Willow Tit has still got a stronghold in Wales 🏴 one of the youngsters on show here …

A good day with David Callahan with Crossbills, singing Redstart and Goshawk. Then a short but cracking Med Gulls session with Arfon Williams with 500 Med Gulls inc. 58 juvs + 6 colour rings read (2 Red, 2 Green and 2 White). Common Sand, Blackwit, Whimbrel too 👍 #Ceredigion
