It's British Sign Language Week and Andy Palmer caught up with the CEO of the British Deaf Association, Rebecca Mansell to talk about #bslweek #britishsignlanguage #bsl #signlanguageweek

Check out this article by our Chief Executive, Andy Palmer, reflecting on the first-ever episode of Thrive Live — the UK’s first BSL livestream talk show led by Deaf women sharing honest conversations from their perspective: limpingchicken.com/2025/03/19/and… Huge thanks to our host Nadia

It’s #DeafAwarenessWeek! At POhWER, we’re proud to be working in partnership with 3 organisations Royal Association for Deaf people Cambridgeshire Deaf Nottinghamshire Deaf Society to provide advocacy to deaf people – ensuring their rights are protected, their voices are heard and they are able to access the support available.

To mark Deaf Awareness Week (5–11 May), we're proud to launch a new support card for deaf people created in partnership with Cambridgeshire Constabulary. The card reads “I am Deaf” and includes a QR code linking to SignVideo by Sorenson Relay Service (VRS), allowing officers to connect

This is a very useful idea from Cambs Police 💙. The force has worked together with Cambridgeshire Deaf to issue small cards that #Deaf people can use during an emergency, featuring a QR code to help people to communication via a #BSL video call: zurl.co/AizZW #DeafAwareness #A11y
