Answer was in my tweet…Valley of the Eagles… 9 hole tract in Haines (went around 2X)…Had to take a high speed ferry to get there from Skagway…before you tee off you get the mandatory bear talk.. due to environmental regs, greens were Astroturf…Memorable day.

Yo no soy Marinero, soy Capitan...FireSaintAlex Oh, I didn't realize that was the name of the course. Moose Run was a real, full bore course. We had some time to kill before our flight. Hit 3 national parks and weren't planning on playing.

Course was regulation length, 2 par 5’s etc, large astroturf greens but environmentalists wouldn’t allow any sort of Chemicals…beautiful views with snow capped mountains ….rough was brutal. Didn’t see any bears but did see bear skat….

Great show…unfortunately a little too deep for the Petticoat Junction masses brains….never missed it…watched them all.

Aggressiveness on these greens is not your friend…..reminds me of the first time I played a couple of the Pinehurst Resort courses….greens ate me up…putted awful. Played again this past Fall, backed off a bit…putted much better.

Right there with leaving cigar and cigarette butts on tees and greens….unfortunately there’s a lot of that around here…. Another pet peeve is people that don’t clean the trash from their golf cart when they return it…
