Ana De Roo, MD, MSc, joins us as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery. Dr. De Roo recently finished a fellowship in colorectal surgery at Washington University in St. Louis, MO. Welcome, Dr. De Roo!

We are so excited for Dr. Taja Lozar, who is finishing her postdoc in the Lambert Lab. Dr. Lozar is heading back to Slovenia to begin a residency at the Insitute of Oncology in Ljubljana. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for Dr. Lozar!

VIKAS DUDEJA was awarded a $6.4 million grant from the U.S. Department of Defense to identify a possible treatment for acute pancreatitis. The grant funds a clinical trial to study the effect of pirfenidone on patients with recurrent acute pancreatitis. bit.ly/3vptqA3
