It's a snowy start to the day! ❄️ Have a bit of down time in Toronto this evening before my next leg tomorrow, and managed to get a ticket to see Steve Martin and Martin Short's show. Beyond excited! Fingers crossed my trip doesn't become Planes, Trains and Automobiles.

On this quiet foggy morning, I wave goodbye to Canada 🇨🇦. The next step of my #TraintoAGU journey takes me across the 🇺🇸 border to Buffalo, where I'll have some time to look around and grab a wing or twelve before my next train at midnight tonight.

Rather than heading into Buffalo, I saw a familiar name on the map just down from the station. The folks of Lancaster, NY, were so friendly. I went to see a local production of A Christmas Story in the Lancaster Opera House (a beautiful old building) and it was great! #Lancaster

Arrived ahead of schedule into Chicago yesterday. 🚉 Took in the sights of the city and made a trip to the Field Museum. A great day, spoiled slightly by my Uber Eats delivery not arriving, and the resultant lack of pizza for dinner. Start of the long ride towards Denver today!

After a comfy night about the train and a bus ride with some fantastic views, I've made it Boulder, Colorado. The longest leg of my #TraintoAGU journey so far at 18 hours. Looking forward to a couple days of meeting fellow space weather researchers, and a seminar tomorrow! 🌄

After a great couple days at NOAA SWPC, I'm on the last leg of my #TraintoAGU journey - 36 hours to San Francisco. Truly awestruck by the absolute beauty of Colorado and the Rocky Mountains today, how could you take a flight and miss all this?! 🏔 🚉 Can't wait to be at #AGU23
