The power of change rests in your hands. By bringing communities together we can deliver it. Humbled to address Citizens UK

Incredibly powerful to see Citizens UK 18 founded chapters, 5 new/building chapters, and our projects all on stage last night. Together we represent 2 million people.

Last night we held our national Citizens UK General Election Assembly, where community leaders shared testimony and asked politicians from different Parties for change on #LivingWage, #Citizenship, #Housing & more. Here are some of their stories 👇🏾 📸 Sylvie Pope

"When I moved into my Council home, there was mould on the walls that has now spread to every room, which impacts my health. The next Government must introduce a UK-wide home repair & upgrade strategy to make our homes safer, healthier, & greener," Helen Cardiff Citizens

Congratulations newly elected MPs! This week Angela Rayner & others pledged to work with Citizens UK on issues that matter to our communities. We're ready to build on existing relationships like these & foster new ones with all elected officials. Everyday people win change💪💯

Today Caerau/Ely's Tenant Action Team celebrated & reflected on 6 mths of People's Health Trust #homesforhealth: 20 leaders trained in community organising, 300+ ppl listened to, Accountability Assembly w/ 106 ppl, relationships built with new MP / local cllrs. Excited for what's next!

Community leaders in alliances like Tyne & Wear Citizens, Leeds Citizens, Liverpool Citizens & many more are reaching out to mosques, migrant organisations, neighbours and friends to offer support. We must keep organising together for inclusion, justice and the common good.

Great meeting discussing how travel to school could be safer, cheaper & fairer for students living in Butetown. With Nicki Prichard 🧡 & Michaela - SMTV Cardiff 🧡, Mrs Aziz - Mount Stuart, students from Cathays High School & Butetown Cllrs Saeed Ebrahim, Margaret Lewis & Cllr Helen Gunter 🚍

Our Housing Action Team met Cardiff West MP Alex Barros-Curtis MP in London recently to discuss our Citizens UK home repair & upgrade campaign. With others from across the UK, they also developed an Energy Action Workshop. It launches today with National Energy Action Cymru on #fuelpovertyawarenessday

It was a packed room at Windsor Clive Primary School for our energy action workshop with National Energy Action Cymru today. Ideas were flowing about how communities can take action to keep our homes warm and healthy. #fuelpovertyawarenessday

🚌Our Fair Fares campaign asks: 1⃣Include under 16's in Welsh Gov £1 bus pilot 2⃣Commit to £1 young person bus travel beyond pilot 👏We took action, engaging with and meeting MSs & Cllrs who have written in support of our campaign to Ken Skates MS, Cabinet Secretary for Transport
