A superb first training session at Merthyr RFC 🏉 on Monday, ahead of competitive action in February. Cardiff Rugby Age-Grade and Academy manager Gruff Rees helped to deliver the session, with the men’s pathway supporting the girls’ pathway system and further link-ups planned for future sessions.
136 attended the skills centres and Talent ID days. Team manager and former player Kira Philpott said: “For those that missed out we really want to encourage them to keep at it. The door is never closed. Selection was really tough and there were plenty of top talent on show”

A great start for Cardiff under-18 in the Regional Women’s tournament at Merthyr RFC 🏉, securing a 7-0 win over Dragons in the opening match. Mya Dixon the try scorer, converted by Rachel Thomas-Evans.
It’s four from four as Mya Dixon grabs her second of the day to secure a 5-0 win over RGC! Superb effort from the Cardiff girls to maintain a 100 per cent record at The Wern, going throughout the day without conceding! Sets up a great finale at Cardiff Arms Park next Sunday!
