We welcome Department for Education's announcement of a £2 billion increase in Early Education funding, especially considering the current fiscal context. It demonstrates the Government's commitment to Early Years as a key priority. DfE press release: gov.uk/government/new… 🧵1/4

Specifically, the increase to Early Years Pupil Premium will channel more resources to children & families experiencing the highest levels of disadvantage, and chimes with policy calls from recent Nuffield-funded research by Centre for Evidence and Implementation.
