Boldness & ambition ( well, basic maintenance) is desperately needed in our vaunted "cultural quarter." Austerity, other priorities - we get that. But this degradation of a key civic space is depressing. The sheer can't-be-arsedness of it.

The PIP reforms are yet another betrayal by the Labour Government and will be devastating for many vulnerable people in Bermondsey. Countless people rely on this support to stay in work and just go about their daily lives. To strip that away from them is senseless.

Cutting PIP will do nothing to help people into work, when so many rely on this support to stay employed. Slashing carers allowance will hurt those selflessly looking after loved ones and taking pressure off our NHS. The Government must change course.

Yesterday Shaffaq Mohammed 🔶 presented his amendment to introduce Sara’s Law, a law which would end the postcode lottery in children’s social care. He’ll be working with Will Forster MP 🔶 to get this amendment through Parliament.

To the residents of Teilo street/North hill street. I am chasing to find out who owns this property, the council wil not remove the rubbish as it’s classed as private land. I am pushing to get this cleaned up and blocked off as it’s health & safety risk. Liverpool City Council
