Ecological Succession student presentations in Biology Pre-AP

On Friday, juniors Syna, Demir, Jasmine, Evelyn, Muraari, Suhurrith, Ramya, and Deniz presented their posters for AP Research & TPSP at the Rice Eureka Mentorship program.

Joshua A competed along with Team USA at 2025 Junior Pan American Taekwondo Championships 4/6. The tournament included athletes from all over the Pan American region. Joshua secured Gold for the 4th year in a row for Team USA by defeating opponents from Mexico, USA & Puerto Rico.

Apollo T, CVHS sophomore, won gold in male junior individual poomsae at the 2025 Pan American Poomsae Open Championship in Queretaro, Mexico! His will compete at the 2026 G4 Pan American championship. & he earned a silver medal at poomsae open. Amazing accomplishment, Apollo! 🥋

115 CVHS freshmen gave up their Saturday morning to take on the full-length Practice AP Human Geography Exam. This important event helps students build their own study plans for the Big Day-May 6 A big thank you to Roscoe R & Arnav N for helping set up all those tables & chairs!

🎉 Huge congratulations to Ava Zhou, awarded the Phi Beta Kappa Alumni Association of Greater Houston Scholarship — earning a $5,000 scholarship in recognition of her exceptional academic achievement, leadership, and community service. 📚

Upstream members Neha Ravi, Gloria Chilewa, Adela Nicolae, and Lauren Tooms represented CVHS at the ILPC spring convention. They spent the weekend learning from top-notch newspaper advisers and students, and networking with peers from student newspapers throughout the state.

CVHS students took a day trip to Austin to explore civic engagement, meeting with staff from Senator Molly Cook and Jolanda Jones. Thanks to both offices for taking time to speak with our students about policy and public service!
