Starts with high demand for psychotherapy for MH problems, but low supply. Exactly what we National Autistic Society found in England. Just 14% ppl told us there were MH services in their area that worked for them. #AECongress22

Spent some time with our Ukrainian colleagues in Inna. Autistic people are suffering greatly in Ukraine and this org is doing so much in the most awful of circumstances. Will be asking for support for their efforts from our partners in Ireland #AECongress22

Always good to catch up with our friends in National Autistic Society. Always supportive of AsIAm and generous in sharing insights and experience. Looking forward to welcoming them to Dublin for the next Congress! #AECongress22

So that's my first Autism-Europe Congress done. Over the days, I've heard some really great stuff - pushing the boundaries on participation, autonomy and agency. I've also heard other things that frankly stood in (sometimes striking) contrast. #AECongress22

I suppose that's part of the point of it: to promote/expose people to the good, and to rightly challenge the bad so it changes. Changing the world is slow & painful. Fundacja Jim did a great job as hosts. I have some seriously high hopes for AsIAm in 2025. #AECongress22
