At the understudy run for Next To Normal at Wyndham’s Theatre — this is today’s cast (four understudies, two regular cast members)

I’d also seen the understudy run of Next To Normal at Donmar Warehouse — three of the four covers are now new, but all are incredible! With Carolyn Maitland reprising her emotionally stunning Diana (front), there’s also a fantastic Ben Heathcote as her dedicated husband (left)

Also just amazing: Jake Reynolds and Lizzie Parker as their kids Gabe and Natalie. I cried and cried again, not always in the same places I’d wept before. This cast is as good as it gets!

Following a crap 24 hours it was made so much better by seeing Carolyn Maitland give the most heartbreaking performance of Diana in Next to Normal. LOVED seeing her and ALL the covers today. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
