Our latest change champion Carrie Prince has a project to increase awareness of dysphagia (swallowing difficulties) and how to safely manage symptoms. Carrie has been training colleagues and is also working on a bespoke tray with equipment to help staff make thickened drinks.

For Swallowing Awareness Day, I offered thickened alco-free bubbly to ward patients! I also made crispy cakes for our amazing nursing staff 💕. Both went down a storm! #swallowaware2025 RCSLT 💙 Pennine Care NHS FT
