The Cardinals showed their hometown pride with our float in the Official SHS Packers homecoming parade. There’s not much more hometown in Smithfield than pigs and bacon! 🐽🥓

Congratulations to Mr. Carter Goerger for being selected by his peers as the CAES Teacher of the Year! 👍🏻 Mr. Goerger has been a steady presence and valuable contributor on the 2nd grade team for years and is truly deserving of the recognition of the Carrollton staff.

To beard or not to beard: that was the question! The Cardinals were given a chance to practice democracy by voting their preferences about Principal Brennan‘s facial hair. 🧔🏻‍♂️

🇺🇸Election Day 2024 was a big one. All Cardinals were given the chance to cast their ballots & 62.3% wanted Mr. Brennan to shave his beard. Since elections have consequences, he came back the next day whiskerless!🇺🇸

Thanksgiving break for students is 11/25 - 11/29. Monday, 11/25 is a work day/parent conference day for staff. Tuesday, 11/26 is a virtual work day for employees. All IWCS Schools and Offices will be closed Nov 27-29 We wish our families & employees a very Happy Thanksgiving.

And just like that, the 2024-2025 school year came to an end! The biggest smile on the bus ramp was that of Mrs. Jennifer Smith whose 30+ years with Isle of Wight County Schools ended and her well-earned retirement began!
