At Council Assembly last night I spoke about the important work my scrutiny commission is leading to look at SEND provision in Southwark. We’re recommending reforms at LA and Gov level. In the meantime, great that Southwark Labour is getting ahead of the game with this funding.

I want people to be proud of where they live. Today we've announced £1.5 billion of funding to empower communities to build thriving high streets, parks, youth clubs, libraries, and cultural venues. Supporting local growth. Breathing life back into your neighbourhood.

Nice to see these lights recently installed on the Manor estate on a walkabout with the Manor Estate TRA last night. After asking the council to install them, they’ve made one of the darkest walkways on the estate much brighter 🌠
