Aamer is correct, here. More and more solicitors are withdrawing from criminal legal aid work. The criminal Bar continues to make sure that the more serious cases are defended, but Advocates need solicitors to prepare the defence and instruct counsel. I have been raising concerns

Still thinking about the Trump supporters I heard on Times Radio breakfast interviewed by John Pienaar. Who sounded pretty normal at first, denied being “hostile” and seconds later described “J6” as a “beautiful peaceful day” & that the violence was an “inside job” & “staged”.

Doesn’t it feel quaint that after 2016 we were angry at Zuckerberg for letting Facebook get hijacked by Cambridge Analytica to aid Trump and now Musk just blatantly uses Twitter/Z to aid Trump.
