Team Fluoride from the Senn Group /Walton group are out at Beamline ID22 at European Synchrotron

It was a great experience to have joined Cat Crawford and Craig last week at ID22 European Synchrotron StructureOfMaterials. Grenoble just looks amazing with some of snow on top of The Alps 🗻🧪

Always super happy to have a paper published in PRB, especially when it has taken so long to get it across the line! journals.aps.org/prb/abstract/1… Here we show how in some improper ferroelectrics the initial application of pressure can actually act to enhance the polarisation!

And this week Craig and I were back out to the Institut Laue-Langevin for PND data to carry on our work on some Fluoride based perovskites - as always is an absolute pleasure working with Clemens on D2B! #postdocsontour

Attended the Winter Crystallography Meeting last week and I won the best poster & flash presentations prize! This is my first prize since I’ve started my PhD 😃 I’m glad I could make everyone laugh either at the Halloween theme or Moo Deng 🦛👨🏻‍🔬👻
