🌪️ Check out our whirlwind tour of the latest and greatest advances (well, for when it was published a month ago) in carbohydrate-active enzymes 🌪️. If you look closely you'll also find an unfortunate tale of gambling and co-first authorship order 🤦‍♂️. sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

The last bit of work that I did a few yrs ago, as postdoc, finally saw the light of the day. I'm a second author on this report, but this is a very dear project to me as I learned everything I know about membrane protein biochemistry on this protein. nature.com/articles/s4158…

Sales reps. If I ask for a quote, please don't ask for a meeting. Sure there are some details, but if im buying a 50K piece of equipment, don't ask for details on things that cost less than 1k before giving me a price range. lets just save all of our time.

Glycans regulate T cell function. This statement is simple but it keeps me up at night — which glycans? On which cells? When? Do mechanisms translate across mice and humans? To address this, we have curated 'A Unified Atlas of T cell Glycophysiology' tinyurl.com/y7aru4k4

Excited to share our latest manuscript on virus maturation! We've successfully solved the structures of five intermediates in the NωV maturation process and unraveled the intricate structural reorganization required for infection. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Very cool paper from Marta Borowska in the Garcia lab StanfordMCP. They drew inspiration from adenoviral immune evasion to engineer CD45-targeting proteins that suppress T cell activation.

1/ Keen to share the story of my postdoc research in Xavier Lab! We built a massive resource characterizing the spatial landscape of the gut, and yes, we dug deep into the biology too. If you’ve got a minute, let me walk you through the story. 🧵👇 nature.com/articles/s4158…
