🌪️ Check out our whirlwind tour of the latest and greatest advances (well, for when it was published a month ago) in carbohydrate-active enzymes 🌪️. If you look closely you'll also find an unfortunate tale of gambling and co-first authorship order 🤦♂️. sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

I’m delighted to host Roger Castells-Graells on Monday! UBC/Van folk please join for what is bound to be a fascinating seminar. Pls DM me if you would like to attended via zoom and I can forward the zoom information!

I am so excited to share that I am starting this Fall as an Investigator at Lady Davis Institute and Assistant Professor at McGill McGill Gerald Bronfman Dept. of Oncology (GBDO)! I’ll be recruiting students and a research asssistant- Get in touch if you’re interested in chromatin and gene regulation! martinlab.ca

Are you doing some cool immunology? Come join us University of British Columbia!! We have fantastic support and colleagues here in UBC Dept of Microbiology and Immunology! academicjobsonline.org/ajo/jobs/28464

New research from StanfordMCP describes the structural mechanism that enables #adenoviruses to escape immunity by targeting #CD45 on T cells. Read more in Science #Immunology: bit.ly/3UohnMR

Very cool paper from Marta Borowska in the Garcia lab StanfordMCP. They drew inspiration from adenoviral immune evasion to engineer CD45-targeting proteins that suppress T cell activation.

1/ Keen to share the story of my postdoc research in Xavier Lab! We built a massive resource characterizing the spatial landscape of the gut, and yes, we dug deep into the biology too. If you’ve got a minute, let me walk you through the story. 🧵👇 nature.com/articles/s4158…
