Dr. Maggie Witek recently presented a talk for the Pharmaceutical Chemistry Department at the University of Kansas. Dr. Witek is one of six people to be selected for consideration as a Faculty Candidate.

The Soper Research Group had plenty to celebrate as the semester came to a close! Three of our researchers (Dami Fateru, Maximillian Chibuike, and Katie Childers) passed their Comprehensive Oral Exams this year and Dr. Ian Freed successfully defended his dissertation this week.

CBMM researchers welcomed KU’s 2023 REU Students to tour our KU Laboratories. We were lucky enough to have two different groups coming through to walk through both the clean room as well as the wet labs/microfluidics applications labs!

Quentin Jarrell, a graduate student researcher working with CBMM, recently led a tour of high-school students through the University of Kansas, Lawrence campus labs. These high-school students are on a week-long engineering camp where they learn about the field and tour labs.
