I visited UNDOF in Quneitra, underscoring the importance of close United Nations cooperation in supporting stability and humanitarian efforts. Stronger coordination across UN actors remains vital to address the needs of communities in sensitive areas.

Shelter is one of the priority needs mentioned to us by returnees. After years of displacement, families often return to their hometowns only to find their homes damaged and looted. While the needs are immense, humanitarian actors such as UNHCR Syria can make a difference

🇪🇺 & 🇺🇳 will continue working together closely in support of the future of #Syria. With Geir O. Pedersen & Gonzalo Vargas Llosa I discussed the challenges Syria is facing and how we can support the Syrian Government and society in this transition phase.

Today, we welcomed 🇳🇴 Minister Åsmund Grøver Aukrust to UNHCR Syria’s Community Centre in Dweilaa, where women shared their need for legal assistance and children joined healing activities. 🙏 Norway MFA for your strong + continued support to UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency in this key moment.

Very pleased to see the outcomes of the first IMF visit to Syria since 2019 to assess the economic and financial conditions in Syria and discuss with the authorities the support needed for the recovery of the Syrian economy. UNHCR Syria has held regular dialogue with the IMF

After 14 years of conflict, Syrians want to go home: "Now is the time to invest," says Céline Schmitt, UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency agency spokesperson in Syria. Here's the full interview ⤵️ soundcloud.com/unradio/hopefu…

Welcome to Syria for #WorldRefugeeDay Filippo Grandi 🙏

Sincere thanks to Foreign Minister Al-Shaibani and to the Governors of Dera’a, Aleppo and Idlib for receiving me during my visit to Syria. I reaffirmed that United Nations organisations, including UNHCR, will support them as they lead the country towards a more peaceful, prosperous future.

After 14 years of conflict, Syrians are returning to their homes. It’s a fragile moment, but full of courage and hope. Thanks to 🇩🇪 🇩🇪 GER on Peace & Humanitarian Action's generous and flexible support, we’re helping people recover, repair and rebuild. Watch Filippo Grandi's message from Syria:
