Cedar Hill Police received calls of shots fired in the vicinity of Bessie Coleman Middle School. Officers are checking the area now. Both Bessie Coleman and Trinity are on lockdown. If you are a parent, please contact Cedar Hill ISD for information on student pickup.

Update on Hwy 67 lane closure 10:00am TxDOT has made us aware that the lane closure will extend for 24 hours. Repair crews will be on site later this afternoon. We anticipate a full closure of south bound Hwy 67 at that time. Please seek an alternate route going home today.

***ROAD CLOSURE ON WILLACY CIRCLE ***. Willacy Circle, at both the N. Joe Wilson Road entrance and the E. Pleasant Run entrance, is closed due to a medical incident. Cedar Hill paramedics and police are on scene.

Officers responded to the 1000 block of E. Pleasant Run Rd on reports of a shooting. While the investigation is ongoing early indication is that this is an isolated incident. There will be a heavy presence in the area as the investigation continues. Please avoid the area.

Cedar Hill PD and other personnel responded to Walmart, located on Uptown Blvd, in regard to a report of an unconscious person. Officers are currently on scene; there is no threat to the community. Please avoid the area while the investigation is ongoing.
