It with great sadness this morning that I have to share the news of Club President Alan Bush’s passing Alan was a monumental member of Cefn RFC and also many other institutions in the Merthyr area and will be sorely missed by all Condolences to all the Bush family

A minute’s silence & applause was observed today at the Black Patch in tribute to the memory club President Alan Bush. In a game where both sides to be fair tried to run the ball despite very heavy conditions, it was Tref-Y-Clawdd RFC who emerged victors 19-13. #wolfpack

Sad news to report that Mog Chambers our clubs founder has sadly passed away aged 86 Mog was the driving force behind Cefn Coed RFC’s inception and has served the club with great loyalty and commitment since Thank you Mog - Rest Easy x

Legends may die but their legacy, wisdom and teaching still live on in the memory we cherish so dearly.
