Another new species, another exciting discovery tainted by the use of AI images... Marambionectes is a new plesiosaur genus from Antarctica. Unfortunately, the describing authors resorted to using AI-generated images to promote their research. Not a good look. #PaleoAgainstAI

Cranchiidae has to be one of my favourite family of squids. Cranchiids are funky looking, many are transparent and they have a special chamber filled with ammonium to help them float. #CephalopodWeek
