NetID for scalable inference of lineage-specific gene regulatory networks from large scRNA-seq datasets now published. Amazing work by @KenWang89437252 from an internship (!) in my lab. genomebiology.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.11…

👀New on bioRxiv: Our high-throughput #SingleCellProteomics pipeline analyzing 1,536 single cells/experiment, identifying 3,000+ proteins/cell. Applied to tumor macrophages in a lung metastasis model, we found ~500 differentially expressed proteins. 🔗 biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

We are happy to share our new paper. We identified il11 as a regenerative factor to stimulate heart regeneration. However, prolonged il11 treatment causes fibrosis due to persistent activation of the epicardium. nature.com/articles/s4146…

We are thrilled to share that our first paper from my new lab, Spateo (github.com/aristoteleo/sp…) for spatiotemporal modeling of molecular holograms, is now online in Cell: cell.com/cell/fulltext/…. Spateo is a comprehensive analytical framework for 3D whole-embryo spatiotemporal

NiCo is out! Our new algorithm for spatial transcriptome data analysis predicts the crosstalk of cell types co-localized in tissue niches and sheds light on the downstream effects of cell-cell interactions by inferring covarying gene programs. nature.com/articles/s4146…

Random question: In human brain, consciousness emerges from the neuron’s collective activity, despite no single neuron is conscious. Similarly, society comes from many individuals working together. Could collective consciousness also emerge at the societal level, as in the brain?

NEW STUDY: Senolytic molecules that clear aged cells (like dasatinib + quercetin), slow age-related hearing loss in mice by protecting cochlear cells & reducing inflammation. You heard it here 🧵
