The limitations and the strategic folly of Israel’s brutal and counterproductive war in Gaza could not be more obvious. 15 months on, tens of thousands of civilian deaths, yet nothing enduring really achieved. The futility of force.

Two options: IDF spent too much time killing civilians, not focusing on Hamas, or Hamas reconstituting as fast as they were attrited. Either way, the grim predictability that the IDF wouldn’t eliminate Hamas with crude military force alone has come to pass. No surprise.
