I am thrilled to represent Cornell University at the UN Climate Conference (COP27) in Egypt. It is an honour to attend such a key global conference, and to collaborate with the Lima Adaptation Knowledge Initiative to address climate change knowledge gaps in Peru. news.cornell.edu/stories/2022/1…

Looking forward to tonight's film and discussion with filmmaker Felipe Mesa! Cornell CALS Einaudi Center at Cornell Cornell Atkinson Center for Sustainability Cornell University

Thank you [email protected] and Cornell Atkinson Center for Sustainability for an incredible #COP27 experience. It has been a privilege to collaborate with UN Climate Change through the Adaptation Exchange by the NWP Nairobi Work Programme as we work towards strengthening knowledge for #adaptation and #resilience in Peru!

Funny, I could have sworn the #UK agreed to 'accelerating efforts towards the phasedown of unabated #coal power and phase-out of inefficient fossil fuel subsidies' at #COP26 in #Glasgow last year. If only we wrote all this down in a #ClimatePact somewhere. theguardian.com/environment/20…

Last week, 1st-year undergraduate Dhruv Cohen & I set up our 1st #SWIFT Recording Unit to record trial birdsong data ahead of fieldwork in Colombia. Ithaca kindly obliged by recreating wet season conditions. (Fingers crossed for a red-headed woodpecker) 🎙️🎵🐦 Birds of The World: The Cornell Lab

Last week I had the pleasure of hosting Professor Prof. Dr. Dolors Armenteras who came to speak on #fires & land use in the Northwestern #Amazon with @Cornell_LACS! Thank you Dr Armenteras for sharing work from Ecolmod_UN & starting timely conversations on equitable collaboration in #science.

I didn’t intentionally begin my 2-day #bikepack around Cayuga Lake on #WorldBicycleDay, but it’s a nice coincidence! Here’s to the #bicycle (that marvel of #sustainable transport), the beauty of the Finger Lakes, & Tina Christmann, who first showed me how much fun cycling can be!

Thank you Cornell University, Cornell CALS and to all the many academics and stakeholders who are making this work possible - I'm so grateful and excited to see what the data tell us about the role artisanal rubber can play in the Colombian Amazon!

Thanks Dhruv Cohen '26 not only for this expert voiceover, but for a month of dedication, enthusiasm and good humour. Thanks also to ASOPROCAUCHO and ASOHECA for being so welcoming and supportive of our research with Cornell Lab!

I am very excited to see Cornell University's advert for a Professor in Environmental Justice, Law and Policy here in the Department of Natural Resources and the Environment! It's an incredible-looking role and I encourage prospective applicants to come and join us in beautiful Ithaca!

There is still time to apply for the Associate / Full Professor position in Environmental Justice, Law, and Policy at Cornell CALS! academicjobsonline.org/ajo/jobs/26848… The position examines environmental (in)justice & explores diverse environmental practices, procedures, & knowledges!

Proud to watch Cornell CALS rising junior Dhruv Cohen ’26 present our work on migratory songbird detection in Colombia at the World Ecoacoustics Congress in Madrid! Thanks to 5th World Ecoacoustics Congress - Madrid 2024, Dr. Wendy Erb 🦧 Cornell Lab, @BirdNET_App and project partners ASOHECA & ASOPROCAUCHO
