Proud to sign the Global Partnership Agreement with @UNHCR on behalf of Danish Refugee Council. Building on 50 years of collaboration, we reaffirm our commitment to community-centered solutions, protection & localization. We look forward to this next chapter of the partnership Filippo Grandi.

As always, happy to welcome to UNHCR Headquarters the Secretary-General of Danish Refugee Council. I was delighted to sign our first global partnership agreement, building on decades of cooperation in supporting and protecting refugees around the world. Thank you Charlotte Slente!

We can’t protect & aid people forced to flee alone. With civil society, we amplify impact, build resilience & create hope. Today, UNHCR & Danish Refugee Council celebrated 50 yrs of partnership (with signature of former HC Sadruddin Aga Khan as proof) & a new global agreement. Better together.

The cuts to aid budgets are creating a dangerous gap in global humanitarian support. In my interview with The Guardian, I emphasized that investing in humanitarian efforts prevents conflict and displacement, making the world a more secure place for all: theguardian.com/global-develop…

Our Secretary General Charlotte Slente will join the panel discussion at the #EHF2025 to explore Sudan’s cross-border challenges and identify ways to strengthen the regional response. Follow the live stream on europeanhumanitarianforum.eu
