We are deeply frustrated at guidance issued over the weekend forcing zoos, aquariums & safari parks to close. While we recognise the need to carefully lift lockdown, this is not the right decision. We will have more details in a statement tomorrow.

The government have hugely failed #zoos by continuing to prevent any income. They have ongoing costs (they still need to feed and house the animals) and many may not survive. The vital #conservation work they provide will be lost, this government just do not care about #nature.
