🎨| Year 1 Art In art @chps_year1 have been learning about the artist Alexander Calder. The children have created their own pieces of Alexander Calder inspired art by using curved lines, loops and primary colours. They loved painting and getting creative with their peers!

🦧| Year 2 Chester Zoo Visit @chps_year2 had a brilliant day of exploring at Chester Zoo last week whilst also learning about all the animals and their habitats!

🙏| Year 3 RE Lesson We have started our new RE topic - Why do people pray? We started with Christianity and sorted information into categories regarding prayer.

🤖| Robo Build Day Year 4 enjoyed an amazing, insightful, creative workshop in which they designed, programmed and tested robots in teams. It’s clear we have lots of budding engineers in the making here at CHPS!

📕| Author Visit We were lucky enough to be visited by Jenny McLaughlan. She talked to us about her books, how she started as an author, her inspiration and talked through writing process. She even enrolled us all into dragon school and let us create our own dragon character.

🎮 | Creating a game In Computing, year 6 have learnt how to create a game with moving sprites. We had to code the sprites so when they hit another sprite, the score would change. We used our knowledge of variables to add the score to the program.
