The Chelsea Fire Department will be conducting Technical Rescue training tonight, 4/24, at the Chelsea St Bridge from midnight to 2AM. Chelsea St will remain open but the bridge will open and close several times during the training event.

The 911 system is down statewide. We are encouraging Chelsea residents to pull the nearest fire box if you need help.

Today marks the 51st Anniversary of the Great Chelsea Fire of 1973. The fire engulfed 18 city blocks. Over 1200 firefighters from 111 departments responded to assist the Chelsea Fire Department.
