In Year 2, we have started our new Maths topic on shape. We revised 2D and 3D shapes, then we explored making pentagons from a triangle and a rectangle.

Year 5 enjoyed exploring Forest School this morning. We were looking for clues about our new English text. Rivers CofE Academy

In Year 2, we had brilliant fun in gymnastics. We worked in groups of 2 or 3 to create a short sequence.

Reception have been learning about winter and used their creative skills to make snowflakes and snowmen. We explored frost and ice in Forest School- the children discovered what happened to the ice when it got warmer. We have been wrapping up warm in our hats, gloves and scarves.

Year 3 have begun their new Art unit - facial sculptures. Today, we created the base for our sculpture using recycled materials. It was fiddly, but we persevered, joining everything securely with masking tape. We can’t wait to start exploring other materials to add to our models.

Year 5 have started The Highwayman in English this week. 5C had a go at performing the first verse...

Year 2 are creating posters on 10 things they are doing to help our World.

We have had an interesting start in Year 2 this morning!

In Year 2, we are using digimaps in our geography lesson. We located the Isles of Scilly and we are using digimaps to investigate what life is like on the islands.

Reception children took part in Beep Beep! Day promoted by Brake, the road safety charity We learnt important rules to help us stay safe when near roads and crossing roads. The children enjoyed acting out how to stay safe #BeepBeepDay #roadsafety
