My seniors and great collaborators, Ide-sensei and Horie-sensei, have uploaded their paper on ChemRxiv. They successfully synthesized CPP analogues containing azobenzene units using the gold-template method and achieved stimuli-responsive structural transformation! Good job!!

Heartbroken to hear the news. I’ll always remember him sitting in his office with the door open, offering a warm greeting to everone who stopped by. I’ll never forget how he shaped my thoughts on science and life. You’ll always be in our thoughts. May you rest in peace, Fraser.

To be your mentee was a sheer delight. It's been a surreal & emotionally demanding day today. I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to be with you again. There's comfort in knowing where you rest until we can visit again. Farewell, you old man. See you in the skies & in my ❤️

Many thanks to Fiona for the privilege of delivering my tribute on the special day. I faltered at the end, overwhelmed by emotion, trying to hold back tears. I thought it was not ideal, but Alyssa Avestro, PhD said that is what made it perfect. Goodbye, Edinburgh. Goodbye, my dear Fraser!

Excited to share our latest publication in Nature Chemistry ! We extend the crystalline sponge method by using coordination cages crystallized with a “sticker” anion. This strategy enables X‑ray analysis of even medium‑sized pharmaceutical molecules. nature.com/articles/s4155…
