In Science, Innovation and Technology Committee I put to the head of UK Research and Innovation the need for quantitative/qualitative reporting on curiosity-driven, applied and commercial research to see what public investment is producing. She said from a bureaucracy point of view, people do not want to report regularly.

There seems to be an assumption in the #AssistedDyingBill that those who have been most unequal in life will somehow be rendered equal in death. There is nothing to protect the vulnerable, or ethnic minorities, whose experience of life and death has already been biased.
