While monitoring a large gathering at Kildare and Kinzie, the 1161 Tact Team conducted an investigatory stop and recovered a loaded handgun equipped with a 50 round drum magazine. Thanks to the officers’ keen observations, a dangerous weapon was taken off the streets.

While monitoring POD cameras, the 1163 team observed a subject in possession of a firearm. After further investigation, officers recovered two loaded firearms. The Offender was arrested and charges approved. Great job officers!

On the 4900 block of W. Harrison, Officers observed a subject adjust a suspicious object in his waistband. After further investigation, the 1163 team recovered a loaded handgun and safely took the subject into custody. #CPD #GunRecovery #CommunitySafety
