CDC approved $30.2 million in TIF for IBT Group's conversion of a historic New City warehouse at 1769 W. Pershing into 172 residences and 232,000 square feet of offices. Selected via a DPD RFP, the $186 million project also includes a 42,000-square-foot retail center.

CDC approved $5 million in TIF for a proposed After School Matters youth center at 1065 N. Orleans St. on the Near North Side. The $26 million project will provide 2,100 spots annually for teens to earn stipends through programming focused on culinary, trades and STEM skills.

CDC approved $13 million in TIF for The Renaissance Collaborative's planned intergenerational supportive housing facility at 5300-18 S. Calumet Ave. in Washington Park. The $40.7 million project includes 71 units for seniors, families and young adults.

CDC approved $13.2 million in TIF for Hispanic Housing Development Corp.'s planned 60-unit affordable housing facility for elderly households at 1539 N. Pulaski Road in Humboldt Park. The $36.2 million project includes the adaptive reuse of the landmark Pioneer Arcade.

CDC approved $10 million in TIF for Homan Square Apartments Phase IV's planned $34.2 million rehabilitation of 107 units of affordable housing in six buildings on Polk Street, Central Park Avenue and Lawndale Avenue in East Garfield Park and North Lawndale.

Landmarks Commission accepted a DPD report supporting landmark designation for the Bankers Building at 105 W. Adams St. The report states the designation, along with a planned $183 million residential conversion, aligns with the goals of the City's Loop Revitalization Initiative.

Austin's New Genesis Assembly of God Baptist Church, 1400 N. Laramie Ave., received a final landmark recommendation from the Landmark Commission today. Built from 1924 to 1949, the eclectic Neo-Gothic church features a distinct four-story bell tower with bells cast in 1898.

Plan Commission approved Center Court Development's residential and hotel proposal at 5301 S. State St. in Washington Park. The $41 million project, intended to support XS Tennis Village, includes 51 affordable homes, 125 hotel rooms and ground floor commercial space.

Plan Commission approved the Chicago Park District's proposal to create a 26,781-square-foot dog park at 141 W. Diversey Parkway in Lincoln Park. The $1 million Lake View project includes landscaping, fencing, lighting, benches, a drinking fountain and a shade structure.
