Welcome to day of Keep on Moving, here in Rotterdam. We've just had our first keynote speaker, Sanne de Vries, and now it is the morning parallel sessions

Here in parallel 2.3, we start with Mark Wales, PhD in Landscape Planning specialising in Environmental Psychology. Mark's presentation is 'Outdoor spaces for adolescent well-being'

Taking the mic now is Wim Seghers, an expert on play and space policy from Antwerp, Belgium. Wim's presentation is 'How to make a consistent 'teenagers web'

Speaker three at this parallel session is Arjan Vreugdenhil, Consultant and designer at OBB playmakers + spacethinkers, The Netherlands. Arjan's presentation is 'From child-friendly schoolyard to all-inclusive child-friendly school environment'. #citcrotterdam2024

Our fourth presenter at this session is Elena Parnisari, an Italian architect with a masters in urban planning. Elena's presentation is entitled 'Searching for equitable, inclusive and caring urban neighbourhoods: measuring children's right to the city through urban design'

We're now into parallel session three, and here in 3.1 our first speaker is Eva Maréchal, project manager at Blenders in Belgium. Her presentation: 'Hop Up: a pop up playground that makes space for free play anywhere in town'. #citcrotterdam2024

The final afternoon of our seminar has seen a series of diverse field trips, involving cycling and walking tours. One such tour visited the Bospolder Tussendijken district, looking at ‘green schoolyards’

Three expert guides showed examples of nature-based schoolyards as learning landscapes and green living rooms of neighbourhoods

Ian Mostert, Project Leader for Child and Nature at IVN, Miranda Nauta, from the Municipality of Rotterdam, and Marlies Bouman from Jantje Baton were the tour guides
