Our team of volunteers were busy installing berms on the chess at Sarratt yesterday. These create new softer verges or banks which help create meanders and improve flow in the river 💦

Volunteers from the Community Wildbelt and local residents joined to plant a diverse range of native pond plants at St Osyth's Well in Bierton. Coir mats were used as an environmentally friendly option as they biodegrade over time into soil nutrients. Thanks to The National Lottery Heritage Fund

Spotted in a garden in Tring - the Privet Hawk-moth, The UK's largest resident Hawk-moth with an impressive wingspan of 9-12cm 🐛🦋 Freshly emerged adults often rest on tree trunks, blending in perfectly with their surroundings - just like this camouflaged beauty.

After 4 years of regular bracken bashing at Hodegmoor Woods the heather is recovering and rejuvenating, a committed effort from our volunteers since 2021. We can't wait to see all the flowering heather in mid-winter 💮
